　The first step-find the stud
　　 Use a nail finder to find the wooden pegs on the wall. Once you find a stud, use a marker to mark it. This is where you install the seat. If you don't have a stud detector, use a 1/8-inch masonry drill bit to drill a hole in the grout line. If you punch a stud, you can mark it; if you don't bend the end of a wire at a 90 degree angle and insert it into the hole. Rotate around the wire until you hit a stud. Drill at this new point and measure 16 inches, from that point to find the second stud.

　　Step 2-Determine the position of the screw
　　 Now that you know the position of the stud, you can decide where to put the shower chair. Use a tape measure to measure the distance from the ground to where you want to sit. Place the shower seat in this position and place each end on a stud. Mark these locations with a marker.
　　Step 3-Drill mounting holes
　　 Before drilling, mark the position of the screw with an awl. If you try to drill through the tiles, you will find that the drill bit will slip and damage the tiles. The awl will remove the smooth surface from the tile, giving the drill some grip. Put a piece of masking tape on the floor tile you want to drill. Use masonry drill bits and drill holes slowly to avoid cracking the tiles. You need some space, so use a slightly larger drill bit to install the shower seat bracket. When you reach the back of the tile, you should stop drilling and use a drill for wood. You can now drill pilot holes in the studs.
　　 Step 4-Install the shower chair
　　 Before you start to install the mountain bracket, you want to fill the pilot hole you drilled with silicone. This helps prevent water from behind the screws, which may damage the board under the tiles. This silicone padding will also help prevent the shower seat from moving, because over time, the seat may become loose from use. You can now fix the shower chair to the wall through the control hole. If it is not stainless steel, replace the screws of the shower seat. Tighten the screws, but tighten them to avoid damage to the tiles.
